BG2. Larger cast of infinitely more interesting companions, with far more interesting stories. In BG3, every character felt like the same person, especially since they all tried to jump on my dick simultaneously the first time I went to rest.

BG3 is an incredible game, it has a lot of interactions with the world, encourages use of magic outside of combat, has turn based combat which I prefer, has an actually fun exploration

HOWEVER BG2 has a better cast of companions with better interactions between themselves, and in a crpg that matters A LOT
