Majora's Mask and GTA 4 are terrible fits.
Twilight Princess would fit for Zelda, and there really isn't a GTA game that people don't like. GTA1/2/3 are less known because they're just old as fuck, but that is just no one having an opinion about them. San Andreas and Vice City are loved, 4 is loved, 5 is loved.

The friendship game mechanic was dumb and the story took it self too seriously. VC and SA are better games despite clunkier gameplay.

not really. niko was too much of a straight guy but every other character was acting like a clown. if we don't count the lost and the damned, RDR2 is their only serious game.

Majora's Mask isn't a black sheep, it's probably the most wanked to death Zelda game along with OoT and BotW

Wheras the rest of these series and genres have generally improved overtime, compared to modern JRPGs, FF8 is incredible.

It explains itself poorly and was surrounded by heavy hitters, but in the grand scheme of the history of the franchise and genre, it fits in better with "the good ones". Same with Chrono Cross.

I mean, yea. No one here is going to deny that. At most, people will only defend Morrowind because it filters zoomies. TES games are middling games that manage to provide freedom that other games don't. That's the main reason TES is still around today.
