The general character power level is a head above every other game we have right now, which naturally leads to an increased number of unique interactions players have to be aware of. A.k.a. there's more shit than throws, meaties, couching mids, and green slimers happening every round. And that's BEFORE taking the tag system itself into account. The tag system that turns every viable team into these weird extended variations of puppet characters, with each team fuse working differently and requiring tons of awareness from both players. Every round has multiple instances with 4 characters on screen, each doing something unique, and players having freedom to extend it with whatever tool their fuses provide.
Like, it's not even a matter of opinions; it's the way this thing is intentionally built. This game can still be shit for a myriad of reasons, but it's objectively complex shit. Dumbing it all down to "hurr simple inputs" or "hurr jump back my time" makes it extremely obvious that you're a pretentious bitch who's just regurgitating (valid) complaints you heard online with no actual grasp of the full picture.
