Did my only playthrough on dominating. Game was ok wouldn't play again some sections and enemy types were just not fun to deal with.

Yes sir, stealth isn't required and the "stealth builds" can play without using stealth. Stealth is the most fun mechanic in my opinion though especially when you get flashbangs, flash powder and use knife.

AR tincan is like a 101 basic bitch build in this game and it's very effective.
HOWEVER
I'd recommend sticking to stealth and/or mobility in the first part of the game, you can't realistically obtain parts capable of creating armor that makes you really tough until you do quests in the foundry.
And of course mind attacks bypass all armor but that can be solved through feats and drugs, morphine and aegis are your best friends.

why would you do your only playthrough on dominating? dominating is fun after you have learned the game and know how to minmax and abuse the mechanics to break it, going into dominating blindly has to just be frustrating as shit.

So starting with some stealth is still good idea, because of how weak your character is in the beginning.
I remember trying to use swords and I found out flurry is a noobtrap at least on higher difficulties, but when it worked it felt good.

I only play games on max difficulty unless they're locked. A good example of why this is probably a poor idea was it taking me 9 hours to beat the nier automata tutorial. Idrc though if it says easy or normal I'm not clicking it.

I remember when I was younger and bad at RPGs I would always play on easy and enjoy it as a power fantasy. I don't know why other people who are obviously bad can't do the same. If they can't beat the game on their first blind playthrough on hard with no re-rolling they seethe and call the game bad. When getting filtered by your bad build has always been a staple of classic RPGs.
