>But when will it pop? Ai is going is going to get a lot of people tortured and killed. Larry Ellison has been pushing ai to find terrorist and bad anti semite. What happens if the ai gets the wrong people or it makes mistakes. They used ai for health insurance and it got like 90 percent of denials wrong. It's going to cause a lot of people to radicalised against the government. Even the people cia catches are the wrong people it's going to e very bad.
It's an arms race and Nvidia is the only one selling gunpowder.
Governments will use more and more AI to compete with each other and control people, criminals will use more and more AI to commit crimes and cover their tracks, companies will use more and more AI to beat each other, AI will be used to subvert other AI, you'll need AI to help you sort through all the AI shit.
And the more people use it the more they will want to keep making it bigger, faster, and more complex with more GPUs and servers.
It may slow at some point or have some dips but it is unlikely to burst and go away. It's like waiting for the computer bubble to burst and everyone to go back to typewriters. People said the same shit back then "You can never trust a machine to do your accounting you need a guy with a pencil and paper" and yes there were fuck ups but nobody cared enough in comparison to the massive convenience and speed up. They'll ignore them and press on and the ones who get hung up and hesitate, will fall behind everyone else.
The anti-ai protestors are ultimately just going to be losers who were scared of a future that does not favor them. Indians lost, blacksmiths lost, factory workers lost, coal miners lost. Technology never stops because people are scared of it.
