The Wii games are also very fun. The first one is a straight up remake of Under the Knife but the other two are original. Trauma Team is kino. It also has co-op which is incredibly fun and hectic.

The first game is easier on Wii since co-op allows both players to have all tools.

The other two are harder because each player has to select which tools he has, both don't have access to all.

I remember having a giant Trauma Team sticker when the game came out, and it was the logo on a giant band aid and it lead to an awkward green text story.

>Put the sticker on my travel duffel bag
>At the airport waiting in line to get through security with my bag
>Some old guy behind me sees the sticker and assumes that Trauma Team is an actual medical group
>Before I can correct him, he's going on about how it's good that young people are getting into healthcare to help people and I should be proud of my work and goes on about how an EMT saved him once.
>My face by the end because I didn't have the heart to say it just a video game logo and I just ended up wishing him safe travels and to stay healthy when we got to the security checkpoint

It's not, there's just more content and challenges.
The DS version was a pain to play through with the tiny screen and inaccurate stylus. The Wii version really relied on your own precision.

I remember borrowing this game from a friend when I was young because I thought the concept was really cool. I learned that day that I was very, very squeamish towards even fictional gore. When I saw the glass shard in the kid's heart I genuinely had to stop playing because I couldn't stomach it.
I watched a playthrough many years later and yeah even when the surgeries become more like JRPG battles I knew kid me wouldn't be able to handle it. Savato would have made me lose my fucking mind.

Random story
>Trauma Center: Under the Knife comes out
>People like the soundtrack
>But an official release for itnever happens
>Someone rips the music files but they're all just file names and and don't have song titles
>I end up just making up names for all the tracks and posting a version with that
>It somehow gets traction to the point they're the accepted names of the songs until Second Opinion comes out where they actually did give official names to the tracks
I doubt they're still floating around since rapidshare is long since dead along with the original original youtube OST playlist. But it was a fun moment.
