While not a classic, Lisa the Pointless' sheer resource autism was 'better' than Look Outside's if you were really optimizing, aesthetically speaking I wish the game did more to vary up the 'feel' of its menus to give it less of an 'RPGMaker' crust. While they're gay as shit, In Stars and Time and Omori both did more stylistically with their menus overall.
Look Outside's writing shines in the people-to-people interactions, I'm someone who dislikes the 2.0 endings even with the alternate reading of Unity, Promise is just too clean of an ending overall and doesn't even feel more hard-won to make it feel cathartic. I wish it was more than just a refight against the Pretzel gang but harder.
Gameplay balance-wise, I can't say I actually remember most of the lategame fights, and Meat World is blatantly unfinished where most of the enemies are just ~200hp sprites with nothing but basic attacks, so that puts a damper on the experience, especially considering how optional it is. I feel Look Outside's save system is really decent, especially compared to Lisa the Painful's Pain mode. Combat balance is fine but enemy lategame bosses could definitely use more variety than 'spam your OP DPS characters' best skills'.

Then talk to Beryl in particular. Then Jasper, then Beryl (Sybil is my Neighbor option) then Jasper and he should give you the Apt 12 key. Melt down a part of the left wall in the main room of Apt 12 (the one with the person asking “where is it?”) using herbicide.

Unity requires you to attack Sybil in Apt 35 and then complete meat world. Once you kill the boss of meat world, you’ll have a small red key which unlocks the Unity ending.

Even in the good endings humanity is pretty much fucked. Like, think of all the modern shit sam needs to use to scrape by those 15 days. The vast majority of that food is gone in months. Lights/power is gone (it's actually a miracle it lasted throughout the game). Infrastructure is fucked and will be very difficult to repair or replace because there are fucking monsters everywhere.

I think if we were to be maximally generous, agriculture only requires the sun, water, and elements - the visitor can't really change that. Yes, crops that were exposed will fail leading to starvation, but untainted seeds would grow fine in the same dirt. It seems like Sam's alien form provides a ridiculous amount of labor so pollination can be done manually if insects can't do it. The thing about human nutrition is that it all breaks down to a small number of amino acids, sugars, and fats. Yes, the visitor fucked crop plants but we still have clean versions. And mutated plants will likely yield some food plants among them.

I think the thing that goes unsaid is that Sam hunts and kills all the violent monsters such that society is free of all psychopaths and sociopaths.

Cursed is funny because the first boss is going to be your biggest wall, after that as long as you're careful you can manage.
Get atleast one party member for the first boss and if it's Hellen you're more than good to go at it. She's a beast, Leigh wasn't even that much of a problem for me on cursed.

I've only just started replaying this since it's initial release as well, so a lot of stuff is new to me too. For your question specifically, Mr. Henderson's apartment was definitely changed, although it had been so long since I cleared it the first time that I also forgot the layout for it and took a while to remember the route to grab the key. Cursed Mode has made the area substantially more difficult too. Morton single-handedly carried me through the entire area, almost literally, because by the end of it everyone else was unconscious and he pretty much had to drag them back to safety. But there's more rubble for the sapper charges, more unique encounters and enemy hand-soldier types, two new mini-boss-type encounters (an APC and a Surgeon) and in general the war zone feels less empty. However there's still no "ending" to the apartment, if anything the Trench Digger is more obviously optional and all you need to do is still just grab the key to the basement. Foremost Spine expert here. Common misconception, the way to spare her before 1.5 was to get her to 50 HP and wait a turn. This was actually a bug because Frankie forgot to set her status to immortal correctly. The 50 HP text also coincidentally fired the event accidentally so no one noticed and assumed that was intended behavior. That's been fixed, so the way to spare her to to just "kill" her once she says "home is where the heart is."

Just got the mask ending. I think recounting the shadow's meetings with Sam from its is pretty cool and well executed, but it feels a little disconnected with how you ended up there. So what, the strange offerings just piss the astronomers off enough for them to attack you, and this somehow leads into you becoming the mask? But the strange offerings feel a little too mundane to be some kind of catalyst for this all happening, so it comes off as feeling a little slapped together. Still, it was very cool finding all of them, and having the spider comment on them as I picked each up.

He's completely broken right now because his puffball explosion skill is supposed to kill him but doesn't. Right now does 250+ damage AoE and next turn you can use putrefaction to inflict every single debuff on an enemy at the same time (most importantly paralysis). He'll likely be strong even after that gets fixed.

Tank Gun boosts her can attacks a shitload which is great for the equipment you can buy from the little guy at the bottom of the parking garage in the basement, he unlocks a lot of attacks for her
the armor plating you get from the SWAT truck and the Hellride are also great, the issue is most of the stuff you get for her is either expensive or comes after a point you'll really need it because you're fighting near-endgame enemies just to get the drops
