I enjoyed Bloodlines 2, and am preparing to do my second playthrough.

I'm waiting for the first major patch, which I expect will release by Christmas.

There are already some cool costume mods, which is nice.

I might do that as well. I have a few things I'm working on as blueprint mods, but I have a feeling the first QoL patch might do some of them anyways. The first real patch will be a good indicator if support will be meaningful or just gay.

It's alright, needs more mission variety and life in the city. The manual saves will be nice when i get my shit updated. They definitely need a better targeting system that's more crosshair focused instead of distance because having your tk grab an enemy who is closer to you rather than what you're aiming at is annoying af.

It is more like robocop or dishonoured than it is bloodlines (honestly robocop feels like the choices matter more) which is a shame because i did want to scratch the WoD itch especially to give 5th ed a look see. But it's still fun to be a vampire and push in peoples shit.

Though whoever decided lasombra was hard and tremere was normal instead of both being easy af (tremere having ranged melee almost overcomes the jank targeting) is a moron. Melee focused clans have a harder time due to the jank melee and lack of melee targeting (and obvious input reading)

Fun but not worth trip A prices. Even after they rolled back the gross day 1 dlc.

Is this game really, really bad? I've seen absolutely nothing about it anywhere and I loved VTM:B, it was so gritty.

You can hold the slow time button to get better TK aiming, but yeah it needs some work. I wish it would let us grab weapons out of their hands, especially if they aren't aware.

Sometimes I forget just how good VTMB is until I do a Halloween playthrough.

I just played VTMB1 for the first time and it was ok. A few days ago, I tried 2, I made it about 3 hours in before uninstalling. This shit is boring.

Even with aim slow it is sometimes is jank and still picks the dude or object closer instead of what you're aiming at.
Yeah, i think tk grabbing weapons from unaware enemies would be cool. Using taunt to pop them from hands works okay in the interim.
Also body tossing needs more impact. It should at least have knock down for the smaller enemies.

Also is topkek using mass dominate and terminal directive on mobs, or hitting them with arms of Ahriman while they're in the abyss then ending abyss to banish them to shadow realm. Works on heavies too which is great.

Yeah, it's definitely more of an action game than RPG. The story is pretty interesting but you don't feel like you've any agency in it.
Is not much of a bloodlines game, but if you want to escape into being a vampire for a few hours it is good fun.

Is not bad per say. It's a bad RPG. It's a poor bloodlines game. But it is fun and has its peak moments and the story is alright. But there is so many missed opportunities and the bones of greatness are visible which makes it's failures more obvious.

Get it on discount or the high seas GoG version and then on special if you do get at least some joy from it.

Problem being, I don't want to reward a mediocre game, but they won't fix it or do better if the backlash is too high. But don't go on there expecting bloodlines 1 or it will disappoint you.

It has a good combat system and a pretty interesting story but all the RPG systems have been gutted and the ending is very abrupt and a bit disappointing.

I think the most jarring aspect is that the vibe is way more gothic and way less punk than VTMB1

VTM hasn't been punk for a decade. Mosern VTM is kind of "contemporary gothic". Think House of Cards. The placeholder voice for Fabien in the game files has a Southern accent.
