in reality the real cause of trauma is shock as a result of having your worldview shattered
a monster, violence, carnage, horror, none of that traumatizes, we know the world is unsafe
trauma is a result of your brain learning what it THOUGHT was safe, wasn't- being attacked by a friend, being hurt by a parent, pain and misery in something you thought was safe, that's what traumatizes
Draw my .45 Sig Suaer P250 and effortlessly pull the responsible 8lb trigger, blowing this nip(Thank you for your service Doyle) cunts fucking slant skull all over the frumpy blown out gyaru granma slag behind her as soon she renews her demonic assault on my child by touching my property.

I'm sure all the traumatized war veterans will be happy to learn that they're not really traumatized because they were attacked by a known enemy instead of a friend.

can you read or are you retarded?
if i said "wearing a red sweater doesn't cause the flu, the virus does" do you hear "ooooh so all those guys with the flu who are wearing a red sweater don't reeeeeally have the flu" what kinda dumbass low IQ thinking is that? i'm saying the trauma isn't caused by the violence it's caused by the shock, they see violence in what they thought was glorious, the death of someone they saw as a friend, carnage in what they thought was good
you are legitimately a moron and you can't even fathom that you're a moron

I think the last time I jumped a little was Bioshock 1. That one scripted event where you arrive in an area, and at one point you turn around and there's a freak behind you. I never really cared much about survival horror games. The idea of backtracking is scarier than any monster could be. Love horror movies, but they don't scare me much.

Stop being a pussy. The kid wasn't hurt most importantly and she'll won't remember it as she gets older. As it stands, it's just a light rib.

I do wonder though. As a child, what qualities does that woman have that is considered scary? Usually when we think of a threatening thing, it involves something that looks immediately dangerous like sharp teeth and claws and a massive intimidating body as well as very aggressive and erratic behavior.
Meanwhile this one is just a long haired woman with white make up casually approaching the child.
Is it maybe the ancient and inherent fear that our ancestors had of humanlike pretenders that passed down to modern man which is why we have the so called uncanny valley feel we have now?

Might be it's similarity to a corpse or the sort of predatory way the unknown human approaches. I think humans probably have an innate aversion to people with corpse like characteristics, a deathly pall can be a sign of illness/disease. We and most animals are just naturally not a fan of asymmetry in the face/body because it's a sign of poor health/genes.

Is there an age of consent for jokes now? What, do you have to wait until your baby can talk before you feed it because it might not like the food?

I have found that one of the many hidden pleasures of adulthood is scaring the living daylights out of kids by scolding them when they do something they shouldn't but isn't really that big of a deal. I can see why someone would enjoy being a principal.

This actually is a sign that the girl is genetically strong and will grow up to achieve great things. She has a complex idea of how to immediately defend herself from a threat. She knows to recognize a slightly off looking stranger as dangerous. Compare this to many weaker children who'd do nothing or at most start helplessly crying if this happened.

Yeah that was what I'm addressing earlier. Most kids have no sense of danger so it's interesting to see a toddler like this cry out about this .
Especially when it seems to be so common for kids to have imaginary friends that are obviously not human in anyway.

Unironically it causes subconscious trauma. Years later she will see a movie with a character like this and she won't get why she finds it so scary.
