It's a half truth. Women's brains really operate at different levels and what's normal or rational changes a lot.
Some months ago there was that meme about a guy who asked his gf if she would've dated his young self and she said "No, you're someone I wanna spend my life with, not someone I would've want to have fun with". The guy was pissed off over it and she did not realize what was wrong with what she said. Shared this among the girls in my circle and all but one agreed with the girl and didn't get what was the problem. The girl who disagreed and even called the others out is married to one of my bros: a heavily autistic guy that used to be fat and cringy, and at the time they started dating the other girls warned her about him, but she said that "his kindness overweights his autism". The guy is now a tar Kwon do champion, awesome teacher and top tier dad, and the longest lasting relationship among all girls.
You know how we call out a lot guys who sleep around as unreliable lovers or the incels who have endless list of standards and expectations for their partners? Well for men, this mindset is "the exception" or the unreliable one if you wanna find love, for women that's usually the rule and they do not realize.
It's not that women all suck or are that dumb, is that they never get confronted about their ideals so those never change. Plenty of guys "grow out" of those phases by themselves through introspection after going through rough times or relationships, but most women don't and instead it's the bioclock ticking rather than them coming to the realization they have to change.
