ITT games with amazing art
Post art you're genuinely fond of or just artstyle/graphic things in games you're personally autistic about
Game itself doesn't even have to be good

That's my thing too
Love me a good water especially if it's well stylized not just hyperrealistic

Owlboy is the most gorgeous pixel art game ive ever played, screenshots dont do it justice, ingame, the grass and every plant moves subtly due to the wind

the gameplay is also, extremely mediocre, and so is the story, didnt finisht he game despite of how gorgeous it was

any "good" 2D game will always look beter than the 0.001% best looking 3D games
and still some devs manage to make 2D look bad

I disagree but I do think the solution to making 3D games look good is to focus on stylization and take notes from 2D, some devs are so hyperfixated on a perceived sense of innovation and the false hierarchy that something newer, more complex and more resource intensive is inherently better that they forget to take actual aesthetic appeal into account
It's kinda the issue we have now with AI worship, we live in an era where we can accomplish so many manmade things old developers and artists wanted to do but people have just gotten glued to the "AI is the future" mentality that they don't wish to explore anything else, a complete one track mind as evidence of a lack of ability to be creative yet a desire to be the first in line to say you did the new thing
