Japanese producers and investors really don't give crap about people getting upset on the internet (especially Westerns), which makes me think she either did something that pissed off a higher up, or she really was as bad as she appeared to be and the bean-counters just finally caught wind of things.

That or she left on her volition, which would be even worse since that means she made one kind of crummy expansion and then just left before fixing things.

Don't get me wrong, they're just as likely to fall into the trap of trying to virtue signal as any other group, but all I'm saying is it's takes more than a few angry social media posts to move them (see the crap that's currently going on with the Yakuza 3 remake; they ain't changing jack all despite protests).
