Uh, that's fucking impossible. RDR is clearly heavily based on The Wild Bunch and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. There's literally a whole scene that references it shot-for-shot. Not to mention the Assassination of Jesse James scene. Houser is full of shit

I can kind of get the logic, but the irony is that people who try to ignore the genre conventions to "tell a fresh story" often end up telling a derivative story because they didn't know the genre already covered what they want to tell.
