The 2000s Astro Boy anime series it was based on is also great with huge budget for tv anime standards and with visuals/animation quality of anime theaters movies. Too bad it didn't sold as much as it deserved.

For the entire length of the series too, it's not an overstatement. It's actually insane how well the show is animated from beginning to end, then you have smaller stuff like every single background character being unique.
From a purely artistic standpoint Astro Boy 2003 is one of the all time greats AND it has an all time great vidya tie-in. How more people don't know about it is beyond me.
