A lot of artists are envious that their art doesn't end up in museums, but this does. What they don't understand is that art is a lot more than just making pretty pictures, and making something worth thinking about or arguing about is important. I can't say I like the red painting, but I'd rather see it in museums than some cultureless conceptslop that looks like it belongs in League of Legends.

The game itself is written well. I think the characters are entertaining. But with the amount of praise I see hardcore fans of the series throw you'd think it wasn't just the best game ever but the best thing ever. I've seen people genuinely convinced it's on par with Homer's Odyssey just cause a character has a dark side.

I do actually think "ragebaiting" has more value than the stuff people churn out for triple gay studios and whatever else. I get that making stuff like that takes work, and it deserves to be an a museum more than a red canvas, but just because it deserves it more doesn't mean it deserves it in the first place. Artists today deserve the humiliation because they can't be bothered to pick up a book every once in a while and make something that matters. Artists during the 1800s and prior weren't just artists, they were well-educated and cultured people who knew a lot about things like mythology, and were familiar with The Bible and the many stories it contains. I'm not saying it needs to be European in its influences, but truly good art needs to have actual culture and ideas behind it, not endless rehashings of pop culture garbage.
