But in the bigger picture of things the disappointment of NG4 was so massive it was like having a giant tomb collapse onto you if you were into these CAG games. With Itagaki's passing there will never be another good NG game. 3RE was pretty good. NG4 is legit jank slop.

doesnt exist. 2 original is the closest you can get but it comes with a shitload of baggage. sigma 2 comes with a bunch of overcorrections and the mod is bunch of overcorrections of overcorrections. black is UE5 slop that looks terrible. we will never ever get a true "NG2 but actually good from start to finish" version of the game

NG2 sold over a million in a few months despite being an xbox 360 exclusive. NG4 is on PC, PS5 and Xbox but it can't even sell a third of that number. Fucking insane level of flop.

Sadly there is still no definitive version but the closest thing is
NGS2 black mod.
it has the most content out of everything and is the closest to NG2 in gameplay.

Sadly there is no version where you can choose your difficulty like:
-Acolyte
-Acolyte (sigma)
-Warrior
-Warrior (sigma)
-Mentor
-Mentor (sigma)
ect

and in the main options you should be able to turn on extra content like
-extra bosses-
Buddha statue: on
Lady Liberty: on
Giant Skull Worm: on
Black Dragon/Large Gargoyle: Black Dragon

-extra gear-
Windmill Shuriken: on
Underwater Gun: on
ect

but sadly a version like that does not exist which is why I'm really hoping for a Decomp that does that.

Lastly fuck those niggers for yet again ruining the water dragon in Black and removing water combat. if you don't put a fucking invisible wall around the player and let them choose they can still choose to fight the boss the boring sigma way so why remove their fucking choice?
It's honestly one of the coolest bosses in Ninja gaiden and it's a really Solid Boss once you learn it, Calm Water break is a cool mechanic in NG2 and players should be forced to learn it.
the boss only has one bad move (the bone fish summon) because it forces you to either use ninpo or make a mad dash for land and equip the flails. but the fish are supposed to drop ninpo anyway.

Ninja Gaiden 2 for the 360. Besides the gameplay changes, which the mods don't even get fully right thanks to Fiendbusa doing whatever the fuck wants sometimes, OG2 also has Mission Mode and Survival, which put it far above any version of Sigma 2, modded or otherwise. Neither Sigma 2 or 2 Black look as good as OG2 either, even with all those mods.
You just can't beat the original really.

All they did was put blood back into cutscenes and gameplay and they didn't even do the that right. NG2B only has Unreal engine fluid blood, it's doesn't have the stream trails + flesh chunks and giblets that used to stick to walls in NG2 and the NGS2B mod.
