If his family is anything like mine, he's the only one using the thing. He also immediately showed remorse, so he's just a kid who had a lapse of judgement, not a spoiled brat.
First, I'd tell him I'm not mad (which is true). Then, I'd tell him to not take these game too seriously, and losing sometimes is normal.
Finally, I'd say I'll try to get it fixed, but if it's not possible, he'll have to live without a TV until we can afford another, which may take a while. That will teach him that actions have consequences without it feeling like I'm punishing him.
