What if someone remakes UFO with less random games, and focused on the top 10, and just make it so every game had a sort of literary novel chapter next to it, explaining the story of the game, a basic VN chapter as optional content and then the game.

So all the games are just story chapters of some light novel, with a VN chapter and a minigame as the final conflict.

But like it looks like an old NES emulator of 9999 to 1 games, but each of these games is a novel chapter.

Am I the only one that couldn't get into UFO? The games are just bad. I guess you can't enjoy this if you are not a boomer.

that's an entirely different idea, you should get on that instead of recommending it be stapled onto another game

It's meant to emulate bootleg NES 9999 to 1 cartridges.

Zoomers can't understand it, because they never experienced such KINO.

I am a zooomer and I experienced it on the GBA when I was 8 years old.

I just don't get why anyone would want to relive that.

They were shitty games.

I think part of the fun, just like those all in 1 roms, was in trying out a bunch of bite sized experiences. The "ooh let's see what this one's like", like a box of chocolates.
Also there's 5-6 games in there that I thought were legit good. Night Manor, Warp Tank, not-Metroid, House Party, Mini and Max, and probably the JRPG, but didn't have the patience for it.

What's gonna be the top 10?
My votes for fully fleshed expansions go to
>Velgress
>Bushido Ball
>Campanella (specifically the first one)
>Party House
>Overbold
>Mini & Max
>Quibble Race
>and 3 random others

It's an age thing.

Also such games usually were SOVL.

There's something special about NES games when you play them.

No big cutscene with DEI blacks.
No time spent on story BS.
No graphical obsesion with realism
Pure gameplay.
Actual dificulty and games meant to last longer by not being handholdey and braindead easy.
Catchy melodies.
No BS, only gameplay.

There's something appealing by such old style, that I think is more appealing than the current gacha lootbox RPG movie simulators.

If you don't like any of the games you should find a new hobby
It's genuinely that simple
