Depends on if you specifically want a Shooter or another Online game whit stuff to do and grind.
War-frame is the closest thing to a Destiny alternative live service shooter i guess but i only played it a bit so i cant give you an honest opinion.
Meanwhile Gild Wars 2 is the closest to destiny when it comes to the games structure and Monetization model it even has episodic seasonal content like destiny but eventually they put all of it in to the game and never removed it again and surprisingly all content in it is relevant so i recommend you try the free trial and if you like the game wait till the Elder dragon saga is on sale as it gives you like 70% of the games content (which would take hundreds of hours to complete if not thousands if you wanted to do literally everything)for 50$. (Living world season are like mini expansions and actually add new mounts and abilities and are actually part of the main story not just side stories)
Keep in mind i have over 1300 hours in destiny 2 so i am not just randomly saying this shit.

Sony bought Bungie, fired half the studio and the already pretty shitty and small updates became even smaller and even shittier. Also instead of real DLC the game gets fucking Star Wars DLC and it all has some absolutely insane delays

If you specifically only care about shooters than Destiny 2 is literally the only game you have as almost every game that tried to be like Destiny has failed miserably.
At best you have the borderland series but they are kinda trash games in my opinion but many people like them so many its just my opinion.

Layoffs was Sony decision. I don't remember the exact numbers but basically half of the studio was either fired or transferred to work at Sony.

Bungie is going through its death throes, and will soon be disassembled and become relegated to the c team doing grunt work on other Sony projects. The destiny franchise will be worked on by a different developer, and marathon servers will be shut down within a year.

They prototype future games in games they already built. They've done it for every Halo game, Destiny 1 prototypes were made in Reach, and Marathon prototypes were made in Destiny 2. They've never hid this, Luke Smith famously talked about prototyping Vault of Glass in Halo. With Destiny only having a small skeleton crew at best, it makes sense that they would want to recycle some shit they already made and slap some Star Wars assets on it.

It's not a great game, it's not a great foundation. It's literally living embodiment of the meme. They hired specialists to make sure the game would basically be an e-narcotic. Players were on the leash the same reason a crackhead goes back to its dealer and a rock bottom gambler goes back to the casino. Their brains are intentionally and maliciously fried into needing to.

Most of content is designed for solo players.
You can play expeditions or raids but there are very few of them and you have almost no motivation to do them. Daily quests and events are basically the foundation of Fallout 76 and the only thing that gives you any worthwhile rewards and it's just awful with friends. You might as well play Fallout 4 and just chat with friends on Discord.
Building bases in Fallout 76 sucks unless you've been playing this trash every season since the game's release.
