nu/v/ hates everything. Now as a certified 34 year old boomer who has been here since 2008, I can tell you why I personally fucking hate Soulsclones.
It's because it's all the fucking same. Dark Souls blew my mind in 2011. But it's been almost 15 years now and it's the same shit every single fucking time. Not only has the genre never evolved, it's seeped into every other genre as well. Everyone rightfully shits on Ubisoft for rehashing the same game year after year, but has no issue with the endless parry/roll tripe that has completely taken over the industry for almost two decades now.
Look at E33. It's just fucking FFX but with a parry mechanic slapped on and everyone throws out their fucking elbows jerking it off. RE4 remake, add a parry. Darksiders 3, just turn it into a Dark Souls clone. The list is never fucking ending.
From is a great developer, and also the worst thing to ever happen to gaming.
