Being a streamer is one of many careers that seem cool but actually fucking suck.
>hours every day
>have to be “on” all day, can’t be grumpy or tired
>vacation? No pay
>sick? No pay
>only allowed to play video games or do braindead current events
>if you drink or do something else that makes you too spicy you get your entire livelihood nuked
>if you do too well crazy people will find out where you live and do weird shit

You will need to invest a lot of money and time before you can see a decent return,
by that I don't even mean break even or don't bother for "profit", just simply from getting the sub button and having regular viewers not to mention a stable viewership and other partnerships programs alongside.

Sometimes I think about streaming or uploading let's plays on Youtube while I chatter and play, but I usually play games for 30-60 minutes a go and I usually play new games or ones I haven't played in years, and from personal experience it's more fun watching someone that knows a game at least passably well. I don't care about the getting paid part but I just like talking about games for hours on end and no one I talk to likes the same, so it's either nothing or screaming into the void at this point

For me it’s that and also that I play games like a retard where I feel the need to unlock the whole map before digging in to one area, which would be absolutely insufferable to watch. Like the first 20+ hours of BOTW was just watching a twink go “ngh, eeh, ngh” next to a green wheel.

i did a quick check of their popular streamers
one was called xqxc, i couldn't understand a word he uttered he was clearly on some kind of amphetamine. he was shouting at an episode of some reality show, Love Island maybe?

the next one i clicked was called windpress, he was also incomprehensible, possibly retarded? or maybe someone who had suffered some type of severe brain trauma. he was playing what seemed to be some early 2000s flash game. he was not making any progress, just stuck.

i can only assume twitch is some sorta amazon disability sponsorship initiative.
