I used to hang out on a forum full of small youtubers and the shift in vibe between pre- and post- AI youtube is one of the most depressing things I've ever seen. IMO it's far worse than the change between pre- and post- iPhone internet.
Pre-AI, most of the posts asking for advice were people looking for tips on how to record better quality audio or what sort of mic setups worked the best.
Post-AI it's all people asking for SEO or where to get bots to mass-like your video to game the system.
Before AI, whenever somebody on that forum uploaded a video that went viral, the rest of the forum was congratulatory and we'd all cheer each other on when another user was successful.
Post AI, you can't celebrate success because a ton of Pajeets with 20 slop channels getting 20 views each hop in and bitch at you while saying you don't deserve success as much as them.
Pre-AI, people would collaborate all the time and volunteer to write and record a segment or even contribute something just for the sake of helping out a friend or for the love of the subject.
Post-AI nobody collaborates anymore. Pajeets cannot comprehend why a human being would ever help another human being or why a person would be passionate about the subject they're discussing.
