I main a tank in FFXIV and what happens sometimes is everyone but me dies when the boss only has a few percentage of HP left. so I end up having to solo the boss where I often end up beating the boss solo.
what sucks is that the group usually never commandants me
I was a tank in a MMO years ago, carried over 10,000 people and 1,000 pet levels through the damn Foggy Forest. Some paid me in armor, was nice macroing them to lvl 50. I moved onto the next map eventually and got my ass handed to me over and over

Multiplayer assym. I'm often the only sentient player in the entire region so it's more fun to try and keep my team alive as long as possible than to try and complete the objective all by myself.

Yeah, if I need to lock in to grab a win in rank, I can carry if I have my play with my two buddies >MFW RANKED OVERTIME, 1 v 3 with Buck

Sure, my mere presence instantly motivate everyone, even the team-killing troll repent and start fighting for the objectives, supported by the noobs who by cheer luck play like a pro-player
I try to. I am usually a 10/10 support in Battlefield for example, but I become disillusioned when my team doesn't sustain the momentum that rapid revives can allow.

yes, back when i played mordhau i used to be a one man army, and would face the other team's champion, it was really cool just slaughtering everyone only to be stopped by a competent player and have an epic 1vs1 clash to see who keeps advancing. one thing i liked to do was help my teammates survive, making an avalanche effect and rallying them behind so we can push control points/objectives
