Enjoy watching Ryu execute enemies 100 times which makes me kinda understand why they buff them in Sigma 2.

One thing all these games have in common; you never want to do boss fights ever again. Where Ninja Gaiden shines the most is dealing with groups of enemies. Boss fights were never good. I thought Platinum would improve the boss fights but it ended up only being a little bit better. Damn shame.

I'm samefagging here but I want Ayane to be playable and more weapons for Ryu. Aside from those obvious additions I would like for there to be more dialogue between The Raven Clan ninja and Ryu-alligned characters. I know some people like the new characters but they almost never get to interact on screen and never with other characters in the series. Also I hope the leave all the "hey play did you know that the Raven Clan does the dirty work the Hayabusa clan doesn't do? Such is the life of a Raven Clan ninja." And I would like to see some more Purgatory Trials added to the DLC with the addition of the slowdown on battle start being removed after the players first death.

There's nothing in Sigma 2 harder than vanilla. Every single tough encounter was either nerfed or cut out. Rasetsu no longer has minions, church fight was nerfed with boring Tac ninjas, Chapter 2 is no longer a challenge, Chapter 11/Gravestone is a boring mess throughout. I can't think of anything even remotely challenging in Sigma 2. Closest thing would be the girl chapters, and they're only hard because the girls play like ass. 3RE also suffers from having no memorable encounters outside of Day 7. The whole game is a cakewalk before and after that stage, excluding the optional challenges, which are really hard.

I'm actually kinda fine with it, you get plenty of either to spend and keeping WpnXP seperate stops bad players from falling behind in upgrades.

I would've preferred if Weapon XP was seperate for each weapon, and most the upgrades feel kinds expensive but I prefer this system WAY over older ones (i.e. buying upgrades, or in Sigma- 1 Upgrade per shop)

While I understand the core idea behind the sentiment, it's kind of an insane statement to make that misses the point of why games let us wail on enemies in the first place instead of doing dark soul style "they never filnch, enjoy your pokes" combat.

I got to the second to last chapter in NGB then xenia kept lagging so I got the master collection and went all the way through it and ignoring my skill level I think sigma bosses were just overall easier.
On sigma 2 now and hard was just way too easy so I installed the black mod and it's pretty overwhelming on hard so I'm gonna play through it on normal with the mod then after 3RE I'll go through all the games on hard and see if I'll want to go above it after that.

If Platinum had any sense of pacing the Ryu section would have consisted of one (the final) shrine boss (to supply the necessary narrative context) as well as the present-day segment in the DDO tower, and he would have been *immensely* overpowered. A 15 minute sections tops. As it stands now it's utter tedium and grinds the pacing to a halt, killing all replayability.

Every weapon can counter for a mostly consistent delimb either from the counter itself or any followup combo. Not only that, every weapon has ways to easily guarantee launches either by just doing them, iframing with >XY or doing onlanding 360s. From either the OT or the Izuna, you can charge to trigger their SoB. Canna is the ultimate litmus test for a Ninja Gaiden player.

Doing the chapter replay I would swear to you on a stack of bibles the delimb rate is decreased for the early chapters on your first playthrough. I remember getting brickwalled by a couple of extended Chapter 01 encounters and now I’m breezing through them, it seems like every rocket launcher enemy dies in a single hit now.

Chapter 04 was also a nightmare and I feel like I’m going to cook it now despite not being especially better upgraded than when I first got there.

I like NG2 bosses more than NGB bosses. The only ones where I really want to kill myself irl playing are Gigadeath, that second Zedonius fight in the lava and maybe elizabet. NGB has the most gruelling shit with ranged spam that's tricky to dodge, minions, bit being vulnerable except after certain moves. Seeing awakened Alma land, then think to herself "nah I'll just start flying again" and then shoot the multi fireballs at you 3 times in a row after deflecting every FS and then grabbing you out of the air is mind numbing.

Sad that ng4 didn't used anything from nioh since they both share same universe and it would be cool to see some of its yokai and weapon moveset in ng4

Sigma is objectively, a better game than black, and sigma/black 2 have enough positive things to keep it just as enjoyable, if not more than ng2 vanilla.
Personally, ng3 razors edge is my fav of all 3d ninja gaiden games.

The most playable content, the deepest moveset, 4 characters that all play differently and can give dozens of hours of playtime each, the most difficulty (Ultimate ninja trials are more insane than anything in OG NG2). I tried ninja gaiden 4 and got to chapter 1 where they introduce berserk mode or something and gave up. On normal. I've realized over time I don't actually like action games, I just like DMC.

I'm assuming you mean X+A? If so, it's Wind Run, and it autotracks enemies. Very useful to step on them, guillotine throw, flying swallow, some combos too since it doesn't go as high as a regular jump, and so on.
In this webm I use wind run after landing from the shurikens to follow up with the air attack and keep the enemy in a juggle state, and towards the end I just Wind Run -> Flying Swallow too.

Sure, but 2 has both. They replaced item healing with SoB healing and ninpo healing. They wanted you to work for your heals and reward flow with health.
Point is: whatever healing method is in the game is there to be used, if they didn't want you to use items they wouldn't be there.
Now of course you can have your own restrictions, I myself don't like using rebirth in 2 specifically and always ignore it. In 4 I dislike healing mid fight but don't mind healing between encounters, but that's on me, that's not the game. The game merely balances the items with how many you can carry and the cost to buy them. And score in 4's case, but if you're needing to use items you're likely not expecting a perfect score to begin with.

Ryu hayabusa was constantly taking his mask off, there was some gay guy in red who fought like the guy from soul caliber. Been going through the whole series lately.

NG1 - Solid but the metroidvania style maps don't work for the series.

NG2 - Awesome but held back by the worst bosses in vidya history. Still probably my favorite once you can just use any character in trials.

NG3 - Is in fact the hardest, right from the first stage. Polluted with QTE faggotry.

NG4 - Starts incredibly strong, practically a perfect action game blending NG combat with Platinum design. But quickly gets tedious and becomes an insult to the NG franchise. Half the fucking game is Temple Run. Admit Yakumo is a failure, and keep the weapon hotkeys.

A constant issue I have with the franchise is the humanoid bosses are good, but any boss that's either a tank or flies is an absolute chore.

Yep. Block, dodge, jump, shuriken, attack, keep moving. You let go of block to attack but even then you'll learn to buffer with the best timing to avoid doing so. Want to do a running attack? Wind path, land, hold forward, attack, can do while blocking unlike just running up to the enemy and attacking, essence is preserved.
In 4 they made the inputs a fair bit more lenient as well as the amount of time it takes for the most distant essence to start coming in your direction longer. You can also start your light attack string while holding block and let go of it after the first hit instead of having to buffer the input while holding block and releasing before the action like in 2.
Overall good changes, I'd say. Reduces complexity so that is a downside but doesn't require an internet tutorial for a new player to grasp the basic gist of fighting in Ninja Gaiden.

Depends on the type of attack. Like you used the Chapter 7 boss as an example, he always hits you three times and then guard break attack, so you can block the first two, perfect dodge the third and bloodraven counter to break his attack.
Or you can go for a parry/backlash parry on the third hit and not even wait for the power attack if he does a backstep before the third hit, the timing on the backlash parry for that one is super generous.
If you're still finding your footing and you're not used to the moveset, using a weapon with a very fast bloodraven attack can be a good thing too in order to break on reaction, so for example Bloodraven Jump with the drill is almost instant, but you need to be facing the enemy already, it has zero tracking. Back forward Strong attack with the drill does A TON of damage, fantastic move to interrupt power attacks too if you can do it on time.
But that's mostly bosses since they're big and getting out of the way can be harder than just dealing with the attack. If it's a regular enemy you can just wind path and attack them from the back and you can get around their armor without using meter at all. Guillotine Throw breaks it too but not on every enemy.

Somehow I can manage to still get A ranks on Master Ninja even though I die like 50 times on some chapters.
You get crazy amount of points by using UTs during Berserk, and it pauses the timer for Berserk as well.

Pausing the timer itself can be useful. You only have two enemies to go, not a whole lot of Berserk meter, if you go for the kill it'll run out before the next wave. Kill these two with an UT, Berserk the next wave.

Ninja Gaiden 2 with better enemy mixing, functional karma system, and a better essence/UT system. So pretty much NG2 Survival mode, but with some extra weapons and maybe better bosses. I think having more enemies like the incendiary shuriken ninja would be cool too, as in enemies that are able to pressure you no matter where they are, with constant grabs, strings, and projectiles, timed or otherwise, locking you down and wearing you out little by little at all times. Having them work alongside other enemy types like mages/less broken archers would be cool too.

They did. At least twice for each game (black, sigma, sigma Z, sigma Z plus, Master Collection Sigma 2 Blacked, etc.). These combos aren't at odds at all with the fundamental design of NG, rather, it's the culmination of them, they are the kinds of things you learn you can do along with everything else in the NG systems when you've come to understand them enough, and almost a reward for your understanding, as well as FUN. Now I'm not some tourist. I purchased the game back in 2016 when I went back to playing PS3 because PS4 has no games. When I played it I immediately said "This is the best game in terms of combat" but trying to convey that to people was fucking impossible even when I was uploading clips.

It also was revealed to me that a lot of people are misinformed. 90% of people you talk to think Razor's Edge and NG3Vanilla are the same game. Like in their mind, there is no vanilla NG3, RE IS VANILLA NG3. And in RE Ryu only has one weapon and there are a lot of QTEs. That's what those motherfuckers think and that's what a lot of them think even today. But now with the gaming industry on social media only NOW they see a Razor's Edge clip and be like, "DAMN THAT WAS SICK! ,Which game is this, NG2? For NG4 I only have to ignore the shitty grinding and Yakumo being gay and Ryu getting shafted, everything else ranges from solid to fucking excellent.
