Sounds about right:
- Great character design on Eve and the rest of the girls. I don't get the hate for Eve honestly. She looks the best out of all the girls. The other chicks aren't ugly but they look to doll-like whereas Eve looks like a chick you might see in real life. Lily's pretty nice too.
- Optimized as fuck
- Great music
- Good combat (that can be great if you really learn the ins and outs of it)
- Okay setting and story
- Lacking but competent dialogue even with the great Japanese dub
- Very flawed execution of sidequests (some of them are great like the one where you find the guy's sister's memorystick, helping the lesbian snake chick get a turret or the one where you save the girl from Naytibas after her dad loses his mind over the Buddha statue and the entirety of Su and Enya's quests along with the latter parts of Kaya's, but most of them are fetchquests with very little context other than what's given on the bulletin board or the pretexts to boss fights which I do like but they did it too much)
It's a good game with a lot of flaws, but it's brimming with passion and more creative than most of what's on the AAA/indie market today in addition to being VERY optimized and running well on decade old hardware and just being competently executed on most fronts, so 8/10 is a reasonable score.

You're right about it not being as good as Nier:Automata, but you have shit taste if you think that NA is a 7/10. It's at least a 9/10, maybe a 10/10. I really don't care what fags on /v/ say, especially since the most recent wave of shilling for FOTM western VNs about retarded effeminate relationship drama and trauma or some gay shit like that, CoD/Halo bullshit and janky WRPG trash that only actual mentally stunted autistics enjoy. /v/ on average has horrific taste in vidya.
