Can you even play that game anymore? Every version I found is broken in one way or another.

Sonny 1 & 2. It's a massive shame the creator went full retard with the third game. Rebooting it. Art style wasn't gritty, dark and soulful like the first two games. He was even disconnected enough from the fan base that he thought players complained about the original story when THAT was the coolest part. It's sad he had no idea what made the first two games good.

So many flash games that teased future sequels never followed up. It's kind of depressing looking back. Even worse when the creator just disappears off the face of the earth.

does this extend to shockwave games? i cracked open one of my faves a month or two ago and developed an HD widescreen hack, currently in review for flashpoint.

a lot of these flash games were made by passionate teens who simply grew up and had to make ends meet, no more time for flash games. a shame.

This is why Dragonfable is my favourite in the end, it's somehow still being updated and has only gotten better.

Yeah, all we got was that one WIP video of it. The story wasn't exactly great, but kid me wanted to see how it would end and I'll always be upset that I'll never get to know.
In terms of gameplay I don't think it would've been as fun though, since he wasn't going for the same leveling up loop as this one.

Does anyone remember that bunny game a super long time ago where you gathered resources on an island and you could pick between a princess or a pirate?

in terms of how much I get a tingle of joy thinking about them

>that flash castle defense where you click the stickmen and THROW them into the air to kill them until you can afford towers
>Swoooords and sandals
yes I know they re-released a lot of them on steam, but I don't want to open the box and risk killing schrodinger's cat
>NanacaCrash
>the kitten slingshot one. Juuuust edgy enough for me at the time.

Purely by time spent, the flash implementation of the Gem TD map from warcraft 3.
The creator rebuilt it in javascript so it still runs without needing a flash emu, and it's been my mental fidget toy for a decade or more.
>gemtowerdefense.com
no I'm not shilling, the man doesn't even take donations for his tiny webhosting, I'm just glad a decent TD like this still exists in a format I don't need to fire up WC3 Deforged to play.

Did your favorite flash game move to steam, anon?
>>725249265
the second flash died, they stopped accepting new uploads and went corporate after their other webgame store went belly up.
I think they only exist to milk that card game and idk adventure capitalist. Majority of games on the website don't even work, shit sucks

They've been acquired twice since being bought out by Gamestop.
I think the expectation has always been that they'd print shekels like mobile, but they got caught in an awkward place between fully mobile and steam with a userbase which had become accustomed to free passion projects.
Then flash committed suicide and nuked them in the process.
