The $60/70 dollar game is dead. Nobody buys games at AAA prices anymore. The best games that came out this year have all been between $20-40 dollars. Seriously, how many games did you pay for this year at full price? I only have bought two with Monster Hunter Wilds and Silent Hill f. People only want cheaper premium games like Silksong, Expedition 33, Oblivion or flavor of the month indie games like Megabonk. Everything else is F2P games like Fortnite or gacha riddled with microtransactions. AAA is dead every new release has middling sales that underperform.

>Nobody buys games at AAA prices anymore.
that's because AAA games somehow have tens or hundreds of millions of dollars put into them and still wind up being shit

Didn't read because I have to say that the series in your pic would have been good if she stayed with the mega knockers and it was unapologetic about it.

The new Pokemon is fun. Funnily enough it's also a game that didn't try to fill the game with pointless shit to match potential revenue

It's dead because they aren't making anything that justifies the price increase
$60 was the max people were comfortable with paying with the exception being collectors editions but even those don't come with anything that makes the price worth it anymore
The price increase is also retarded for digital versions
Those games you mentioned are absolutely worth their prices
They remember they're video games and not "cinematic experiences" and whatever other bullshit they use to describe their triple a garbage
They spend too much on marketing and graphics but forget to make the rest of the game good
The other stuff is worth the asking price
The f2p/gacha stuff isn't my favorite but they at least give you enough to enjoy, constant updates and events and even in game currency so you have to play to unlock shit while people who want to burn through their money can pay for it
Triple A shit isn't worth what they ask for since they aren't giving you anything yet ask for more with microtransactions and dlc that they cut from the main game just to squeeze a little more out of you

man I stopped buying AAA games when they jumped to 60$. I took my money and built a PC and then only ever bought on steep discount.

The nostalgia cycle seem to be at the ps1 era now, so probably just a few more years of waiting

i don't want just the indies, i want the AA publishers to come back in full force. sadly the only place they existed recently was in ecchi games, so now we only have compile heart standing due to current events afaik.
