Konami ruining the pace of the game due their kikery is definitively a minus.
FOB could had been a fun idea if the idea of getting hit back did not suck so much. Designing levels for people to sneak into a la Mario Maker should had been fun with constant updates. The meta is so gay, essentially kill everyone because you go plus Heroism doing stupid shit in the main game anyways or don't care and kill everyone which effectively the safest way to get into S+++ bases.

I am possibly the only person that did FOB, NO REFLEX NO KILLS.
Every asshole I encountered had insane levels of grind and reflex on and that was 10 years ago. I bet MGO is a fucking hack fest knowing Konami.

It was good up until the third act, and they cut a lot of content that would've actually made the game kino.

Metal Gear AC!D had my favorite story and characters.
The second game is regarded as better but I feel like it lost a lot of its aesthetic charm and everything is ugly.

Metal Gear Rising wasn't really that fun to play, there's a lot of unskippable in-game cutscenes where you just run around doing nothing waiting for the game to catch up. There's not a lot of reason to explore the world at all, and it's not fun to. Most of the boss fights are incredibly easy and uninspiring especially on repeat playthroughs. Some of the music being really good makes up for half of it being bad but you still have to hear the other half it while playing

MGS4 was also cool for a lot of its innovation but again it's like 80% cutscene.

I like the game well enough, but the story was more or less "dude fanservice lmao". Chapter 3 also sucked, the split screen Gekko shooting segment can fuck off and chapter 5 was too damn short.

There's mods for a lot of shit in this game. Download snakebite mod installer and they basically install themselves.
Infinite heaven is a must because of how many variables in the game it lets you change.
I also recommend the "topless quiet with improved nipples" mod.

Lets you do and control all kinds of shit and can have all kinds of random effects to make the world feel less empty. There's also some other good mods on Nexus like adding more side-op missions and adding the map from Ground Zero. The mods really saved this series, so much cool shit you can do.

We need a metal gear game where you play as The Boss during WWII and lead The Cobras, it would greatly expand on Peace Walker’s co op. It’s the only place left to go in the series unless you want Survive 2.
