It does a different enough thing than Diablo that I don't see any value in comparing them head to head. Is this better because it has physics? Or is Diablo better because it's darker? Pointless.

Diablo-likes should let you rotate the camera. The decision not to is just sticking to arbitrary guidelines decided by developers who had no choice back then (since it was 2D). You can't even really appreciate whats going on because everything is so far away

I loved this game as a kid. Even got into hacking it and would host servers where casting that one conjurer spell that made shit rain from the sky would summon a bunch of zombies and we'd hold out against them as if it were the zombie apocalypse. Hacked a way to spawn archer units as extra defenses too, was so much fun.

This game was so fucking based. I want to replay it again in a few months with the other classes since I didn't feel up to it after the warrior run.
I bought this game off of GoG when it was on sale earlier to replay it, but it didn't work at all on my computer. It made my graphics drivers wonk out something fierce, to the point where I had to restart my entire computer to fix it.

on Linux i ran it directly through Lutris and it worked fine to the point that i didnt really see any difference when i found out about OpenNox. I also remember running it directly on my shitty win10 laptop quite a few years ago and it worked well there too.
So just download and play.
