it's not just playing through them 8 times and never again though. i couldn't tell you how many times i replayed Resident Evil 3 at this point. it's also really sick to get even better and better at them. i just like games that stick with me forever through replayability and don't overstay their welcome with a bloated story mode. vidya was more fun when that concept was much more common

decode rectifies many of DW1's flaws by making battles viable to train early on, giving you a shop that sells porta-potties and autopilots, making the restaurant actually a very good option for stat gains, showing evo hints, increasing tech learn rates depending on the amount of times it's used (in DW1 it's just a single RNG roll), the colosseum is leaps and bounds better, etc.
but decode does lack the soul of the original, and the story railroading sucks dick. also, no curling, and the fishing minigame was turned into a crappy QTE, etc.

You get costumes, some bonus missions that are basically running chores, and unlock ~4 digimon early. The dungeons are barebones item, gold, and experience grinding.
I enjoyed being able to unlock the Digimon I want before the endgame (Digifarm training for stat evolution requirements requires a lot of gold), but going without deluxe options is likely just as fun.
Returning to costumes, I only used the Cybersleuth and swimsuit ones frequently. The default designs may seem out-of-place in the beginning, but halfway through the game they're perfect.
By the way, the DLC isn't protected by Denuvo.
