This game was pissing me off extremely hard but holy shit after that rough tedious long early game this game gets amazing. I'm at level 20 and it's so fun creating total monster genocide. I'm loving it now.

You failed to identify what game it was in case unfamiliar anons like myself was interested in playing it... you have forced anons like myself to spend valuable time asking for the basic information... not happy with you OP...

huh was M&M really that small something seems kinda odd here aren't they supposed to be 50+ hours RPGs?

The beginning is the best part for me. I always have a best time in those when I start a new game and have to survive against low level enemies using tiny firebolts and rusty swords. Once I hit the midgame and have 400 HP deathray shooting giganiggers that gain nothing from new equipment I usually quit my playthrough, I only finished these games once

There is the merge project that merges 6,7 and 8 together, but grayscale's patch does seem to work for some resolutions at least for M&M6

Try not to flay your cock when you get to the island full of impaled 80s bimbos that are being used in any way desired and possible by the resident tribe of BBC.
It must be so good to just be able to rape and tear and use and hurt an abundance of beautiful females. Just cut a perfect tit off for fun and ignore the bitch its irrelevant there are 30 something here and you couldnt feed more than 5 for longer than a week if you wanted to, and you dont because in a week or two you can be back with a other dozen to fuck and eat and use to your pleasure.
If youre going to be evil/purely animalistic amoral thats the way to do it.

You need to be watching Kevin Sorbo's Hercules on your second monitor for the true experience.

you can, but you basicaly have to go back to the tavern and replace all your dudes with level 1 shmuks which makes early game a tiny bit harder
not that it matters, M&M is a realy casual RPG, every class/race combination can make it to the end, I rolled with an all halfling party(with one orc warrior since there weren't enough halflings to fill out the party)

anon old assets didn't take that much space, they're very small bitmaps with reduced color depth, the music is synthesized and there's very few streamed audio clips
In 1992 when MM4 came out average hard drive was 80-100 megabytes so the game didn't even install most of its assets to the hard drive at the time, I don't think
MM3 is even smaller at under 4 megs total
I think there was a full voice version of 4&5 released later, however, that used CD Audio and took 2 CDs as a result
I think even Might & Magic 6 is below 200 megs if you exclude FMVs and music
Just goes to show you don't really need billion high res textures for a fun experience

Sign In at the tavern (the nearest is behind you when you start) and you'll have your character management screen

It was only "50+ hours" because people had literally nothing better to do back then besides play with sticks and rocks

Actually you need to be dying of boredom with Hercules on the monitor, but then switch to playing Xena: Warrior Princess after Hercules is done, for the true experience

Well these games are about exploration. If you open the guides and the tables and just munchkin to the ending, yeah, the games don't take very long, but that's not exactly the appeal of them, is it?

It's a big rpg, but each map is just a variant of the old Windows labyrinth screensaver and all entities are cardboard 140p cutouts zigzagging towards you.

3 through 8 are all good classic vintage blobbers that aren't too difficult and don't expect you to bust your balls like the Wizardry games
7 and 8 are very similar to 6 in any case
X is decent but doesn't really feel like the NWC M&M games
9 is an unfinished mess
1 and 2 are very archaic (you're expected to draw your own maps and 2 can be extremely grindy)
Anonymous No.725389894 [Report] >>725392156
>>725389721
I wouldn't call X decent, it's not total shit, but it's bad
Anonymous No.725390113 [Report]
>>725389005
1 is super old borderline text adventure game
it didn't even had a realy save function, you have to remember codewords to progress faster

2 is a bit closer to the blobers of old, added lots of esoteric systems, also the only blober where you can litteraly fight thousands of enemies simultaniously

3-5 was the clasic ära, choose 5 dudes and go through the overworld and conquer dungeons, 3 was charming but had a lot of instakill bullshit, the sequel toned that down a bit

7-8 are just iterations of 6 just with more polish

9 is an unfinished mess but worth a playthough if you want to laugh a bit

never touched 10, I just heared its closer to 3-5 but not much else
