tfw sovlful flash games are replaced by soulless mobile games
I tried replaying some old flash games I used to like when I was a kid, and god damn, my standards were in the fucking gutter for me to enjoy that shit.
Meanwhile I could be playing Balatro, Slice & Dice and the best CYOA games on my phone right now. Gamer kids don't know how good they have it.

I miss the days when I didn't have to worry about if I was going to find a fun game to play in the local library computers.
I'd just go to NoClip and base my search on the coolest thumbnail.
Growing up fucking sucks.

Now that's out of the way, what exactly did the kikes gain by killing flash?

Yup, the only one obsessed with flash games were the poor kids who couldn't afford a console or decent PC to play actual games.

I remember some flash game that was on funnygames.biz and you had a whole bunch of different fantasy type factions and you'd start in your factions geographical home and you'd go out and try to conquer other factions. The hardest places to capture were the demon controlled territories and you were kinda locked out of invading there until you'd levelled up. The battle system was just sending out your units on a field similar to Heroes of Might and Magic except it wasn't turn based

mostly true, i've spent the past few months exploring flashpoint and finding all the old games i used to play. it really is mostly rose tinted glasses. there are in fact a lot better mobile games out there. the biggest issue with mobile games is that the mobile game stores all make it super impossible to find the good games and put all the slop garbage front and center. Kids these days got stuff like angry birds, bad piggies, geometry dash, balatro, slay the spire, polytopia the list goes on and on. as far as flash games that have aged pretty well that hold any light they are few and far between. John Swain's Amateur Action Super Fishing, Arachnophilia, Fisher Diver maybe.

Flash era was so innocent and amazing I'm no longer sure if it even existed or if I just imagined it all. How were there so many talented and passionate people who made awesome flash games and videos just for the joy of sharing them with the world? No one does anything on the internet if not for money now.

this is an issue
used to be that most sites where flash games were hosted were getting revenue from ads or membership and so they benefitted from having their best games front and center.
Now, every individual game is competing, there are a dozen shitty attempts to clone every good game
>by which I mean not "this is just a reskin of flappy bird called floaty copter" but attempts to deceive people into downloading and paying for something literally masquerading as what they want

A lot of these flash games are very soulful but they aren't very good in hindsight. I played them on school computers growing up.

an important part of what made flash good back then is this:
the home computar was often kinda shit, games were harder to get good info about. Is this game fun? I dunno let's look at the huge cardboard box it comes in. Might look slick but be terrible. Might not run on the home computer. There were freeware and shareware games but they were harder to find. If your family wasn't blessed with a dad who knew tech, your experience with games was often dependent on you or maybe an older brother, a friend, etc. Maybe your dad didn't like installing things because he was scared the machine might explode.
Flash games worked on every machine that wasn't stuck on windows 3.1, even if they were slow. Flash games were free and accessible. Yes, installing flash was sometimes an arse, but once it was installed it just sat there acting like a media player slight tangent but gen Z do not understand how SHITTY old media players were. A dozen proprietary codecs and players, no idea what'd run on what, bribing film companies to encode their trailer only in THIS format, shit sucked back then. That plus the lack of commonality of sound cards, 3D accellerator cards, etc.
tl;dr the fact that a flash game was
>free
>downloaded in maybe 15 minutes if it was big and your dialup was shit
>didn't require physical media
>didn't require separate installs
>easily shared with friends by sending a link over your chat client of choice
was revolutionary at the time. There's a reason it took off, and the reason was not that every flash game was amazing, it's that you could find the good ones without having to be lucky in buying the one good game in the genre you like in the old radio shack.
