Why is a game so plainly slow and shallow (to those who've played more than 10 hours as much as those who haven't at all) getting glazed and constantly praised by every youtuber under the sun? Every video served in the searches is how it is LITERALLY the greatest game ever conceived, but then you play it and your runs are the same repettitive gathering, fighting and hiding from bots or players, and the occasional combo of the two that, while tense, can't save the game from the shallow scrap sorting and menu simulator the rest is.
I really wanted to like it but the way this game is being pushed and discussed is so strange

It's a FOTM multiplayer PVP shooter that pretends to be PVE. It's a different flavor of Fortnite, definitely best played where you're forcing PVP with players where you run to their gunshots.

first mobility tree up the middle, get the "use less stamina" and "more max stamina". then go Survival right side, get crafting, then fill out Survival 15 points to reach the "extra carry weight" (2 KG extra per point). could also then pickup the expanded crafting skill to craft more stuff in round if you want. Eventually, Security Breach final Survival perk is great for looting.

Theres a lot of trap skills that are either useless or bugged. but the above are reliable. good luck anon

The FUN part is that since there's so many FUCKING NORMIES playing the game, NORMIES have sheep / herd mentality, so they all become "reddit teddybears" and won't shoot you on sight, meaning you can just gank and loot the majority of people without issue, not that their loot is of any significance. It's just fun knowing you made someone elses day worse, which is the whole reason I play MMO's.

Is Buried City the designated pvp map? I get fucked around with more on that map than any other by a landslide. I think its because it is so claustrophobic, and it by far has the most dangerous level exits.

for this to not be the case, you would need like, the WoW dev team (all current versions) level of pumping out content. there is no tail overwise, and no publisher with that much resources has put it to the genre yet.
it's a live service with no service.

tarkov only has a longterm, and only for a small niche, because of pretty extreme milsim autism which appeals to some. and even then it completely lives and dies on the tide of wipe cycles. nobody wants to play it after a few hours until the next wipe because -- extraction shooters are a dead-end genre.

you go into a pretty empty world, maybe have one gunfight with players per 30-60mins, the rest is dumpster diving for progression scrap like it's genshin impact or something. and what then after you upgrade your workbench and stash? you beg for a wipe so the game can be fun again.

developers have lost their fucking minds even entertaining this trash as a viable longterm platform. it's probably going to bankrupt Bungie, so at least there's some good news.

No there isn't. What is used isn't even "AI" as you're using it. Its the same programming which Rain World uses. Its very old but very cool tech we've had for ages.

The robots themselves use the same basic programming for combat as all shooters do, which is basically just if statements.
