I just finished replaying Gran Turismo 2 today. Still have the endurance and rally races to do but I might just go and play Gran Turismo 4 now instead.

That's great too but even if you already have a fun car, it gets expensive fast. Tires cost a bunch, you use up your brakes faster than you'd think and race tracks usually charge you a bunch too

Other than the story and trophy, no. All the teams are really just different difficulty levels anyways so there's nothing wrong with skipping one, I just asked because I was curious.

I do, I finally unlocked the LA Ferrari Fxx and it only took me several years thanks to the shitty lottery system
I also play Forza Horizon 5 since it got ported

I would definitely go with iracing for multiplayer if you don't mind the price. But also don't miss out on beamng, it's dirt cheap while being one of the best in the genre for cruising both with bots and multiplayer, soft body physics and driving make the game such a blast to play.

Yeah, PCSX2 includes Silent's patches by default now, including one to enable 32-bit color with deinterlacing which in the past wasn't possible (the old codes just forced the 480p mode, which in GT4 cuts the color down to dithered 16 bit iirc).

Might reinstall GT 7 for that spec 3 update

Because it would be a marketing failure. Everyone would expect realistic presentation rather than actual realism. They'll think it's the Battlefield of racing games. Casuals will be filtered by the gameplay and sim autists will be sceptical of the type of realism on offer

RBR feels too slippery and DR2 lacks content. EA WRC runs like and looks like shit in VR, while BeamNG.Drive has VR bugs. I am hoping assetto corsa rally gets VR and mod support. I also hope Wreckfest 2 also gets VR.

WRC is great, despite all of the downsides of being an EA title. After DR1/2, WRC is finally a game with enough stages to make me fully follow the codriver, there's simply too many 30min long stages to end up remembering their exact layouts. 100h into DR1, I was going full memorized time trial through every DR1 stage, and that also means I remembered half of DR2 content from the start because they've ported most of the stages in DLC. 50h into DR2 I've remembered most of DR2. And then, WRC drops, with different stages even for established rallies like Monte Carlo, with 30min long stages, with 20 different countries or so. It kinda sucks, performance is terrible, it looks like a turd in VR, their shitty DRM sometimes blocks me out of game on a whim, but god damn, this game really delivers rally feels.
