even large eggs like bastigore will never take 1 hour with the right conditions and pals, but ya its a setting mainly for PvP/multiplayer server balance. Single player worlds dont matter, so it makes sense to make it instant since the RNG of getting good traits is already too much. I also have mods that make predator pals spawn at 100% and a ranching mod that buffs all the ranch pals (like vixie dropping up to ultimate spears or splatterina dropping the dark stuff. I think whalaska at ranch drops coralum too with that mod)
But it also makes the game faster. If you want the game to last longer, ud just play with default settings. Because once you get everything maxed, all the legendries, all maxed out pals, etc there is really nothing else to do except build houses/towns or something as if its minecraft.
