Surely there's a game out there that mimics the gameplay (on-rails third/first person shooter) of this game, right?

Plays like a lot of games, Fox Hunt, Indigo Prophecy and even some other on-rails shooters like Star Fox.

nah not really. im pretty sure it's based on snatcher/policenauts but there's nothing else that plays like it to my knowledge.

Maybe the House of the Dead series? or are you specifically talking about indie games?

Hopefully not. The gameplay was not this game's strong suit.

Fox Hunt I can somewhat see, the other two don't certainly play like it though (unless I'm looking at the wrong Star Fox).

Not the same.

House of the Dead while awesome, is just a first-person shooter on-rails shooter, it's not the same.

It was to me; it tickles my autism.

Just a third-person shooter, though I was a bit surprised to see that Final Fantasy had such an entry, always took them as a purely RPG-based series.

killer7 not getting light gun support for the ps2 port is one of the greatest tragedies in gaming history.
