The Fermi Paradox. I thought I was in for space-themed indie 4X kino, but it's just a glorified clicker/idle game with Tumblr art.

Played the first two games last year and loved them (my first VN games). 1st was a 9.5/10 and 2nd 8/10 for me. I kinda want to play the 3rd but ive read mainly bad things about it. Also I loved the first games drawn/Anime style graphics and the 2nd's graphics were already a big downgrade and the 3rd's look even worse lol

I would still recommend playing it. It's a quirky adventure in its own way, and even though it's mostly a let down in terms of the longer story arc, there are still a few fun twists here and there.

Yeah will likely play it in the futurebut probably first the Ai Somnium game by the same creators although I heard its a little different in terms of vibes than the Zero escape games but apparently still very solid.

I look back fondly on ZTD. Sure it was certainly a letdown after the incredible run of 999 -> VLR and he totally fumbled a generational mystery trilogy, but it was dumb and fun, and the insanity of the ass pulls to finish the story was still certainly memorable and led to a ton of great community discourse.
plus, I found the game itself still fun to complete.
I'd hardly call it most disappointing. Biggest what if kinda game for sure though.
