How would you rank Dawn of sorrow among other Castlvania games?

I like it. Bit too grindy though unless you have giga luck on soul drops

I was gonna try one of the DS games out next.
I've only played the first GBA game, thought it was really good.

i play it with the definitve+ romhack, best way to play this game imo, also replaces the dogshit artstyle with tasteful art

All the GBA and DS Castlevanias are kind of the same game to me, I played them all around the time of release and just remember a big blob of SotN-Lite

like complete shit, whoever designed the soul system and luck system needs to die

Pretty much my ranking. I'd switch Aria and SotN but the top three are pretty interchangeable.

My huge issue with Aria compared to SotN is how heavily diluted Soma's moveset is compared to Alucard's.
Alucard has like 10 spells available to him at any point, dedicated inputs for all his forms, absolute insanity that is Shield Rod. I wish there was a similar input system for Aria so you could attune several bullet souls instead of hardswapping them.
