Cloud Gaming is good now...
>>725440053
Cloud gaming is already becoming so accessible due to 5G that normies are starting to get used to it, without knowing what the difference is between "streaming" or "downloading". Playing a game in bed over SteamLink on my phone is so 1:1 in latency that there really is no difference and the image quality is pristine.

But once Cloud gaming is normalized it will be put on the grid. Either corporations will tax you to use it in subscription models, or arbitrarily make games unavailable only to need to be re-purchased when they reappear on the server. Or it will be appropriated by our governments in the whole "Carbon Footprint" shit, so that you can only game, and only over cloud, 2 days per week to ensure adults stay productive.

There's no bright future ahead of gaming. We've had the best years and it's not going to get better.

Game installs are growing so large now you'll need a server that has the full 1 Terabyte game installed and just streams it to your console device.

>In home streaming
>As in having FULL bandwidth for your PC to pipe shit to your phone locally
>The same as streaming shit from data centers
Anon you can't possibly be this retarded.
Hell even microsoft gave up on streaming shit from their own data centers and will stream it from other people's xboxes if they're local enough and have an okay connection
Why the fuck do you think they got everyone to get gamepass?
For shits and giggles?

Cloud gaming isn't accessible because internet isn't accessible. It's a meme.
I can move my computer from one room to another and have noticeably no difference in performance, I can play during "peak" hours and load the game instantly when I want without a queue and without performance being made worse, my internet can go down and I can play my games, the cloud gaming hosts having connection problems don't effect me, I'm not paying a monthly fee that is seemingly constantly increasing.

And that's on top of the fact that most people don't have fast internet anyway so under the best circumstances they're still getting something shit.

In a world where most people have computers and consoles and then after the covid lockdown non gamers brought their own consoles, trying to introduce cloud gaming is just investor bait.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it mostly isn't.
