I wouldn't usually care, but in KCD 2 it really irked me. I felt that I was only a button click away from turning them both gay and that all their personal conversations and time together had a hint of 'this could be two friends or gay lovers having this conversation'.
Had similar in BG3 where everyone would fag out at the click of a button and everyone was offering their abuse to you as soon as you looked at them.
But for Kingdom Come it was worse, I had 3 complete playthoughs of the first game, Henry and Hans rivaly turning into friendship and brotherhood was a well written and entertaining part of the storyline.
Having this potentially go gay in the second really takes away from it, 'men can't be to friendly without bumming each other'
If they really wanted to include gay romances, have a new male figure in the game for it, don't twist an established character who had his own DLC about chasing women into it.
