Gulikit ES Pro, close but no cigar
>it's so lightweight
>it has good button positions for home/screen
>has on/off button
>is noticeably light compared to heavier controllers
>is overall almost perfect controller, but sharp trigger edges when resting fingers, deduces many points from comfort
Gulikit almost had it in the bag. Do you think they learned from mistakes and manage to mend them in TT? Will TT be their well rounded controller, without any issues?

It's also very affordable compared to many other controllers

Gulikit is piece of shit. I got Kingkong 2 because everyone hyped that shit to death, especially ETERNAL HALL EFFECT STICKS. Less than year after sticks fucking drift. Not because of sensors, just sticks themselves get tilted slightly and move. The quality of the controller itself is awful, it screams cheap chink shit. RB didn't work properly right from the start, buttons have weird metallic echo and d-pad can be a pain to get certain directions.

Could it be their newer products have better build quality?

Why would chink company suddenly up their quality? I bet it's the same chink shit.

Ok so it had manufacturing defects. Why haven't you just returned it then?

What controller should I buy instead

It kinda depends what kind of games you play. Maybe vader 5 pro ?

>>725481934
I'd have to send it back to China which was more troubles than it was worth. I got compensation from Gulikit and controller itself was like 20$ for me. Also, the issue with RB isn't too bad, basically if you hold it it can sometimes lose contact and you get another press. I also didn't really have much time to play proper games so I only played Genshin with it and it was fine for this purpose. I'm still using it even now actually because I hate how heavy Dualsense is. But I'd probably never buy anything from Gulikit ever again.

>>725482490
I think that's unlucky. I'd try buy everything that's available on euro/american stores, from those. Only buy china stores (aliexpress or other places) if it's something that can't be bought from burger/euro store. Maybe Vader 5 Pro + later TT Max is the combo for you

is there a way to get rid of ickyness of rubber grips? Like can you clean them with wet cloth or something? Would low alco toilet wipes damage the rubber?

Thinks that matter to me
>interesting, non cross, 8 diagonal xelite d-pad
>good ergonomics for grips, triggers, regardless if it's assym or symm sticks, the grips should be smooth/soft, and no sharp edges anywhere in the controller
>overall good plastic quality
>the underside paddles mustn't be in annoying position
and what I'm starting to lean towards recently, maybe the controller shouldn't be too heavy? Holding heavy controller for long periods feels kinda fatiguing.
Also I might gonna have to start avoiding rubber grip controllers if I don't get the controller feel better

Analog triggers, better d-pad, TMR sticks. So I'd say it's an improvement.

The texture and plastic used could be better. Cyclone 2 might be better all rounder because of that.

Tarantula Pro needs a lower latency refresh. I want one with 7ms bluetooth latency

I've been using this exclusively for a while and overall it's fine and an obvious step up over the 1st party controllers with their pre historic stick tech. I can get away with playing with no dead zone in pretty much every game. But on that topic I have experienced drift that took like 2-3 manual calibrations to fix. And I've noticed the calibration is shorter when using Bluetooth vs wired and consequently I've experienced more drift on Bluetooth for that reason. I have to plug it in to get the most accurate calibration, which then works on Bluetooth just fine.

The biggest downside are the materials though. Cheap controller feels cheap. I'd happily pay more for a nicer feeling shell.

>>725488125
Yeah it feels too cheap. Cyclone 2 is sometimes same price as ES Pro 2, so I wonder if that one is overall better controller, since it feels tiny bit more premium (very well trades blows against V4P) and also has 2 extra back buttons, while ES Pro has none

The kingkong lineup was such a pile of shit.
>Their first hall effect design, so KK2 (and 8Bitdo Ultimate, same stick module) early adopters were beta testers
>"Mechanical" buttons somewhat reminiscent of a keyboard switch, but nothing keeping parts from slipping out of place
>Godawful chipsets, some of the worst latency measured in a controller
>Trash d-pads
>Premium pricing despite mostly lacking premium features because fuck you
Elves 2 non-Pro and ES + ES Pro fix all those problems and don't attempt anything gimmicky under the hood. They're still just budget controllers that only do the basics, but unlike their previous releases they actually got it right.

Chinks jack up prices before big sales and then lower them to around the regular price (maybe a bit lower if you are lucky) to trick retards who see the "99% off" and think it's a good deal

My only real problem with the ES Pro is the trigger deadzones. There's a big pre-and-post-travel area when you push them where they're just 0% and 100% respectively and you can't change it. Fucks up Forza.
I also agree they aren't the most ideal shape

No 2.4ghz, Gulikit's gone Bluetooth exclusively for wireless it seems.
Elves 2 doesn't have extra buttons but TT lineup has 4 paddles. No software or dinput so they'll only remap to other buttons.

FWIW Gulikit's newest controllers currently have the lowest measured Bluetooth latency in the world, better than most 2.4G offerings.

Better average, but Bluetooth is inherently less consistent. It's also useless if anon has a specific use case like wanting a wireless controller for a PC without Bluetooth.

These controllers emulate the switch, so you can't have true gyro and analog triggers at the same time.

No - it is well known the Hori Octa is fucking garbage.

Also I like my ES Pro for fighters and really any games but its still chink shit and the Bluetooth does not work on my unit. As usual bad QC with these companies but it was cheap as dick and its overall better than the vast majority of controllers out there especially its dpad.
