Why don't people make good games anymore. I really liked Resident evil 7, Dragon quest 8 and Dark souls. But it seems nowadays everything is about bigger = better. The special thing about those games is using the limited choices to have an immersive and fun experiance, I hate that even studios like Fromsoft have fallen for the open world more shit= more good line of thinking. Name some actually good vidya for me to play or games you wish were smaller scale.

Dark Souls was never good and Dragon Quest is derivativeslop. RE7 is ok at best.

You are an idiot. Resi 7 was a return to the franchises horror elements by modernizing the series. They can do horror and shooter again now. My point was that its a good example of a game where more doesn't equal good its just the studio experimenting. Also gaming was still good with the 3ds and vita, it just feels like all the games people say are good, just arent. Like witcher 3 has a dull protagonist and boring quests that mean i can't get more than 10 hours in.

Dark souls was fun challenging and unique. The series got ruined by 3 because miyazaki ran out of new ideas and used dark souls 1 again. Dragon quest is fun and enjoyable while being a simple adventure. It seems you just dont like fun games, why not name a fun game or two?

RE7 was THE most embarrassing piece of shit to ever DEFILE the franchise, after it was just about to make a triumpanth return to its roots with the HD re-release of the REmake 1 in 2015.

RE7 is nothing more than yet another Amnesia x Outlast style jump-spook walking sim, made to scare literal Walmart dwellers. Slow as fuck, predictable as hell, terribly handholdy, zero replay value.
