I heard compared to the first three games it's much easier to finish Master Ninja and get all the trophies/cheevos etc. is it true? Kind of toned down in general difficulty? 2 and 3 were like 9/10 or 10/10 in terms of completing everything, NG1 probably around the same but I keep hearing NG4 is around a 7/10 difficulty.

What gets me about this is how half wrong it is. DMC4's combat was good, it basically perfected what DMC3 laid the foundation for but the entire rest of the game was lackluster and incomplete to the point where Dante was practically tacked on and you just replay Nero's shit all backwards as Dante. NG2 vanilla was a massive trainwreck of bugs/glitches game progress destroying nonsense, balance issues and poor design decisions all around (lava you can swim in, jellyfish mines, water combat in general) and performance problems because the XB360 could barely handle the game then you had NGS2 which remedies some issues but created a bunch of it's own problems. It made some good moves in removing dumb ideas or replacing bad bosses with better ones but also shit the bed in terms of balance with one hit kill grabs on MNM, hyper bloated enemy health to compensate for lower enemy counts and the awful CERO mandated censorship of the time. I feel NG2 Black is the closest we'll get to a definitive edition of NG2 but it is still far from perfect. It uses NGS2 as a base but undoes some of NGS2's stupidity.

Neither DMC4 or NG2 are glowing signs of quality and this is usually parroted drivel from morons trying to hard to fit in and look like hardasses while coming off as uneducated, unresearched and ignorant in order to join in on their favorite fanboy camp of the argument for either title.

Combat skills. It's a menu that explains the different parries and has videos showing the differences between them as well as other system mechanics the game has like base form vs. bloodraven form.

I just find it kinda impressive how this game took every bad decision that's ever happened with NG and then decided to mix it all with modern PlasticGames' garbage too. Remember how NG2 had new costumes locked behind DLC? NG2 is my favorite game ever but I can admit that something like that sucks. Guess what KT/PlasticGames did? Paywalled costumes. Remember how NG3 only had one weapon originally, and added more of them via DLC? Guess what? PlasticGames did that again for Ryu. Remember how UT spam was always dumb? Guess what PlasticGames? They brought it back without even attempting to fix it. In fact, UT spam is dumber than ever because of the dumbed down essence system. Remember how nobody liked Viola in Bayonetta? Guess what PlasticGames did? They tried to make ANOTHER shitty new protagonist to replace the older one, and it sucked ass again.

It just goes on and on. This might just be the worst NG ever made because there's not a single good thought behind it. It's almost impressive how much of a garbage crashgrab this game is.

I'm not the original anon but if I had to guess it would be something about the price to content ratio + DLC gating the only costumes in the game right now. Something about a lack of exploration in some levels making them feel more like hallways than other chapters. If you ask me the exploration never hits the same peak it hits during the underworld segments. And probably something about the game having a weird checkpoint system that doesn't save after buying upgrades and items from the shop. Lastly, something about the disparity between characters and the amount of content they both have.

Nier Automata was made by Platinum. So was MGR. Automata is regarded as one of the best stories in vidya, and MGR while not much of a story, has characters that ooze charisma with the minutes of dialogue they get ans it makes you care about what the fuck you are doing. Here in NG4 you have edgy LOOKING boy that isn't edgy at all and just says MONDAI NAI, some Cyborg with a demonic arm that barely has 10 lines of dialogue and some demon traitor who appears in like 2 scenes. If you're under them Staff has a few attacks that hit super high and are relatively safe, to the side you can leap off the BR perch with the sword.

You CAN use the Tool Box BR x (charged) but it's kinda risky and Yoomer fucking refuses to target the flying monkeys. I've done it a few times where I hit one guy with the shurikens to keep him off then crank the camera so only the flyer is in view so the bomb throw targets him

In my experience single player games cap out at about 200 hours. It's a similar play time across different games from different series, including bayonetta, ninja gaiden and sekiro. You calculation doesn't seem right to me, these are not fighting games, basic research into mechanics and building some muscle memory can be done in one evening. You invest learning to amplify the fun you have with the game. I understand that some people are unwilling to make the investment, but at the end of the day having played too many video games for my own good, I have to say games that don't require any learning at all are simply not as fun.
