Going to a restaurant is the reddit way of eating food.

The people complaining about the cost of games eat fast food alone and likely work minimum wage at best, so their baseline is a Taco Bell cravings box.

>gamers will cry and moan about $70 games
I won't pay over 30 bucks for ANY game.
20 is my sweetspot, but these days I'm extra picky and ALWAYS pirate anything I even consider wasting my time and storage space on before I open up my wallet.

>a restaurant dinner for 2 costs $100
That's RIDICULOUS.
Never paid that much for a meal, and never will.
An all-you-can-eat buffet with 4 different courses, drinks and desserts costs 10-13 eurobucks at my local restaurants and cafes.

> in the grand scheme of things, it’s really not that bad
It's a tragic sign of the society's downfall, with corpohomos trying to normalize the borderline depression-level of price hikes and unemployment.

My friend invited me to a bar and the bill was seriously $60 for three beers and some chicken wings. That's a week of my grocery money right there. I hate going out.

Last time I went to a restaurant sit in was pre covid I think. Like 29.99 for a steakhouse steak (Mid-atlantic). It's 45 bucks now. Inflation is dumb and I am not sure you can actually truly beat it in the US. Elsewhere you can because it's so insane but here it feels boiling frog.

i kind of admire the games market for only being a bit more expensive than the 50 and 60 games. meanwhile dollar menus don't exist and concert tickets have tripled in price and are fixed for optimal supply/demand profits

It feels good to be an indie autist Chad. I get a game on sale for 10 bucks max and then get 1000+ hours out of it.

One of the best games ever is literally free.
If you don't want people to be judgemental about game prices, maybe you shouldn't be ripping them off by releasing the same game released two generations ago but now it's $70 ($120 if you want all the shit it should have come with) because some retard with a ps5 can't play ps3 games because fuck you.
Don't use one of my favorite cat images for this shitty ass thread again.

I spend $50 bucks on myself at a restaurant, usually for one beer, an appetizer, and a main course, so yeah $100 for 2 sounds about right. Though I'd probably never go with someone cause eating alone and having a book before/after food is superior.

You’ve never had steak or seafood for dinner at a restaurant before? You’ve never ordered drinks with your meal? And you’re proud of that? Pathetic, get a real job.

The real hilarity is thinking im gonna buy any game for anything more than 20 bucks. I buy them used and second hand. Corporations get ZERO income from me.

I unironically won't pay over 20 dollarinos. Sometimes I'd even pirate the game. With living costs rising gaming companies should be lowering the game prices at least to 50 dollars. Gaming isn't a necessity like food, water, electricity, fuel etc. What most companies don't understand is when prices of these necessities rise the incentive to buy games etc. at a price like 70 dollars decreases. Gaming is not a necessity.
