I don't play any fan games besides Sonic but I really should try a Metroid project that actually got somewhere.

I think fan games are silly and the people making them should just come up with their own IP, clearly they have the programming talent

I got proven wrong with 06. ChaosX really did manage to polish a turd until it was as shiny as silver. But with SR I really do think it's wasted effort.
They should have just made it Adventure or Boost gameplay with new levels. Reimagine rather than remake or remaster it.
