In all of naval warfare since 1900, your options are either

Remove those and you can count on one hand the games that fit the bill. The Battlestations games, War Thunder naval, and arguably Carrier Command 2 are the only ones I know of from the last 25 years. And one of them is War Thunder naval.
So my dream vidya is a new Battlestations game that isn't fundamentally aimed at console action junkies and thus can be a bit smarter.

Combination of FTL, homeworld, and rimworld with a star-trek-esque premise of mapping uncharted territory in deep space. You manage 1 to a few large ships you customize and fill out yourself, making rooms for cabin quarters and research, power room engine room etc. Combat would be like a 3d FTL, positioning and such is mostly taken care of for you as all combat would take place at more "realistic" distances apart.

It sounds boring to lose the important collectables every time you take damage, I would prefer a lives system and the player just has three hit points max per level or something

A 3D platformer designed all about being acrobatic as fuck and threading the needle against a ton of obstacles with tight controls and snappy physics sounds very fun but I hate the idea of 64 DS silver star shit.

From reading the first half above, I pictured a sandbox level filled with collectables and the objective is basically to just survive and collect them all.
With going for an arcade design, could even make it a score attack based off how fast the player is, how many lives they lost, HP total etc

Sci-fi Disco Elysium ripoff about a robocop who gets shot in the head and unshackled from whatever authority held him captive to their whims.
Big plot twist: The entire thing happens on a colony ship and the authorities are "the good guys" in terms of, it's unclear whether people would survive until the ship reaches its destination if the ship society wasnt lowkey authoritatian and dare i say fascist.

In essence; a co-op imsim. All the interactivity and mechanical depth of something like Deus Ex, Thief or Dishonored (and more!) but with another player (or even multiple). Allowing for varied composition, the team either specializing in one aspect or having each player bring a different skillset to give the team more options.

Pokemon arena style game in which you control your one pokemon with its 4 moves. However, the mechanics draw a bit from magika in which you would “prime” one of your moves and then your next action uses that move. So you could prime water gun for your next jump or dash to shoot backwards and propel yourself forward or up. You’d have a pool of ~6-8 moves that you’d select from when picking a character and each would interact with the basic mechanics differently. Generally you’d have a dash, jump, attack, ranged attack, and block to enhance with your moves.

Sneak King is just baby’s first pants infiltration sim. I’m talkin full Splinter Cell mechanics but your objective isn’t to neutralize targets, it’s to *fill* them. Knockout gas? No-fiber bars. Instead of a silenced pistol you’ve got Taco Bell and a timer. Enemy AI hears a sound behind them, turns around, nothing there… but now their pants feel suspiciously warm. That’s art.
