Reminder when splootune was first shown off, there was no boys, only girls, which probably made sense too since squids are like that.
not sure if they added boys due to complaints or higherups demanding it, but they didnt come with the prototypes.

I hate the Inkling Boys desu, but it mostly comes down to their fashion choices. You can either wear the most basic ass single color shirts and hoodies, or full blown tacticool BMX mask and neither does anything for me. It feels much easier to make an iconic outfit for the inkling girls. I'd love some baggy open hoodies with graphic tees, a cap and headset combo, and they need actual jeans.
