SB is a calculated corpo cash grab disguised poorly as passion project.
As you maybe heard, SU went public couple of years ago.
Initial reports for investors indicated one big chink in their armor.
NIKKE being their only cash cow, which is bad because gatchashit, even popular one won't last forever.
So they tried very hard to succeed with SB hoping to have another piece of popular IP.
Even fucked SNOYs out of their exclusive and sold out to PC shitters because their initial sales on PS5 were underwhelming.
In the end it looks like they were successful enough and Stellar Blade is their second cash cow now.
Obviously they are really desperate to keep it that way so that's why there's constant stream of small cosmetic shit and irrelevant updates.
To keep the hype going before they release SB2.
