Ep. 7 goes by way too fucking quick even by the standards of this game, and Ep. 8 has some weird leaps in logic that get worse the more you think about 'em like everyone leaving the fate of the entire city in the hands of the bad guy because of a dog, or the triple Visi betrayal that feels a bit too much when Shroud's all like "even NOW she's working for me MUAHAHA" but overall, given Telltale's track record, it could've been much worse. Those last two episodes were AWFUL. This entire season was not worth the wait. Shroud is the same exact kind of villain like Thrawn in "Ahsoka" or DeVoe from the Flash. He's supposed to know all outcomes and be smart, but he's just an idiot when the plot contrives that he's supposed to lose. Suddenly, Shroud has Beef for a hostage because reasons! Everyone gives up, because a dog is in danger! These people deserve to be lined up against a wall. Remember how the Crooked Man was introduced towards the end of The Wolf Among Us, but he still had time to explain his perspective AND his actions were still felt across the story? Well, we have Shroud in the first episode, a stupid bar fight scene in episode 5, he pops up in episode 6 to steal the Astral Pulse (doesn't check the briefcase because he is willfully retarded), and then barely gets anything for the last two episodes.

But, don't think about that! Instead, think about the fact that apparently Blazer only now realized in the middle of a fight that Chase can be revived by her magic crystal as a new superhero, and he just has perfect mastery from the word "go".

Chase not dying missed a completely impactful story decision of one of the only dramatic points that are earned (barring his completely ridiculous and underexplored hatred for Invisigirl) because they wanted to bring him back.

This series is ***OBSESSED*** with every episode either talking about dick and balls, having men getting touched in their dick and balls, or showcasing dick and balls. It's the writers' barely disguised fetish and it is bizarre.

The world building makes no sense. The tone is (at its best) schizophrenic. The characters are incredibly flat.

This writing is atrocious. The fact ANYONE is praising this has just shown me how far appreciation for writing has fallen. The jokes are lazy and low-brow and tone-deaf. This is just the top of the iceberg regarding how bad the writing is.

It was Sonar for me, and I would have prefererend if you could send Mal to talk to him in the Dispatch to soften him up emotionally and then this leads to him being able to be convinced at the start of the fight. It came later than it should have, but at the end of the day the Z-Team is about villain rehabilitation so I was happy I could get him back.
The damage done does make it a bit too much of a a slap on the wrist in reality though. Maybe should have left the city destroying to Toxic who is actually irredeemable, and just have the Sonar/Coupe battles be the hostage rescue missions of the other Z Team members or something.
