I disliked that the choices felt more flavor than anything - the only things that mattered was whether invisagal would turn hero or villain, and the three romance choices (third one is inceldom). I felt like they could have added more potential endings, and created more content in general, such as extra romance options (ehem Malevola), and other "quest lines" that get resolved at the end depending on the choices you make througout the game.

That said, overall it's up there with story-based games, with Detroit, Heavy Rain and the early Telltale games.

A little bit of convenient ass pulls, for example, Shroud being super good at predicting shit, but couldn't predict that Visi might stash the Astral Pulse, although on the other hand a lot of the stuff is well thought out and written, such as giving both the proto and actual AP to Shoud, since you can't predict actual randomness. Oh, and the dick tucking scene was just cringe and pointless.

Also, there should have been an epilogue that would have shown a little bit of teaser for what happened to Z-team and Robert after the whole thing, to give a little bit more of an emotional wrap up for the whole journey.

Still, I can't wait for a sequel. Hope they don't take many years to make one.

It has a pretty big flaw gameplay wise by not letting you skip or fast forward scenes when you're replaying an episode to pick different dialogue options.
Either that or it should allow you to replay specific sections of an episode without deleting all your progress in future episodes and allow you to retroactively change the outcome of future episodes so you don't have to replay half of the game if you want to change your new member from Phenomaman to Waterboy for example.

Pick your favorite tough choice in the game, like Mandy vs. Courtney or Waterboy vs. Phenomaman. Or killing vs. sparing Shroud. Now imagine the hypothetical show went the route you didn't. Wouldn't be a fun.

By giving the viewer even a relatively small amount of influence over how things play out, you can create a story that pleases more people. There's a ton of "original" capeshit shows out there, going the game route made it stand out and appeal to more people.

The problem with the lack of real consequence always compounds the more sequels they put out. It's why everyone loves The Wolf Among Us. It only ever got the one season, so it gets to remain "pure" in a way that The Walking Dead didn't. It's why I hope this season 2 of Dispatch isn't a direct continuation, because then the small problems from the end of Dispatch S1 can spiral into bigger ones.
